I need to know who made the tractors sold here in the states as Allis Chalmers 6140 diesel. They were imported from Japan. Who made them? Is the company still in business? Can one get parts easily? Difficult? Expensive? They were sold from about 1981 to 1985. They are 41hp with 3-pt and pto. Seems like a nice tractor but if one can not get parts then it's no deal at any price.

Ok, I finally found out from the local AC dealer that they were made by Toyosha. Now you guys have something to go on so hopefully you can tell me more about these Toyousha / Allis Chalmers 6140 diesel tractors. Thanks in advance. ....

Craig,OK you now have part of your answer. First the engine is manufactured by Toyosha, but the tractor was made by Hinomoto. Are parts available, yes. Can you pick up any part any time rapidly, no. I will check with some other folks about this particular tractor. I own a Hinomoto E2304 or an equal to MF 1030 which also crosses over to an Allis tractor. Hope this helps some. ....
